Male model, Ralph Souffrant is someone that is becoming more and more popular and we are starting to see him be the face of many brands. I followed him on Instagram a while ago and was fascinated by his appearance and added some of his images to my ‘saved’ folder in case they came in handy one day.
He originates from Haiti and moved to Brooklyn, New York at the age of 9. As a child he was picked on for his looks but he says as he grew up he learnt to love his freckles. He has a skin condition which is similar to ‘Vitiligo’. He was scouted and spotted by photographer Aaron Taylor who befriended him and decided to take photos of him for free until he was ready to have a working and professional Instagram. I find this model interesting, not just looks wise but how his whole career blossomed because of social media which led me to think about the importance of the media and how it’s used in the creative industry. Artists and designers would be less well known if they didn’t have promotional accounts to show their work.

Souffrant was signed to be apart of the Yeezy Season 3 Fashion Show after meeting with Kanye himself, he was dressed in all camo clothing which suited his looks extremely well.
